Donuts with Dad...(A Father's Day Post)

It's Father's Day!  And the girls & I want to celebrate our Papa (Don) with a weekend full of special surprises to let him know just how much we love & appreciate him.  So for Father's Day, we're having Donuts with Don at Clayescapes!

But before we do that, we decided to take him to one of his favorite hardware stores.  It's full of lots of fun stuff of many of Papa's favorite things.

It was an absolutely beautiful day out.

They had an old shopping cart filled with some ornamental corn outside.

Once inside the store, Papa and Gianna started off looking at some of there seed packet varieties.

Then we headed to the side of the store to see some of their baby turkeys!
They look a lot like little birdies (which they are:-)

I think that they really liked looking at Gianna's hairbows:)
She thought that they were fun too.

These baby turkeys were even smaller & looked different from the first batch.

Then we headed outside to see their live chickens.  These chickens are a lot bigger than the ones
that we have at home & have different color feathers.

Renfrows had a whole line a fruit trees along the wall.

Don & Gianna took a look around in their outdoor greenhouse.

After leaving Renfroe's then we headed out to have lunch here....
at the Q-shack!

Papa and Gianna enjoyed painting and pottery while Sophia and I enjoyed donuts and taking a few photos.  It was a wonderful experience and before we went home, Papa and Gianna's  sculptures were ready to be baked, and to be picked up the following with.

We had grillin' in mind for Papa's dinner.  We made up skewers of marinated steaks, zucchini, red bell pepper and yellow squash.

Later that evening we picked these beauties.

All-in-all it was a wonderful Father's Day weekend.  We just wanted our Papa to know, how much we really love him.
Happy Father's Day Papa!  Love, Mama, Gianna & Sophia :-)
